Replace Windows With Doors
Some times it just makes sense to gain better access to your back or side yard by changing a window into a door. This can often be done without doing stucco
or drywall repair by choosing door sizes that work within the existing framed opening. Sometimes minor framing remodel is required.
We usually use French doors in these situations so that you get at least as much light as you had before. These can be sliding french doors, inswing or outswing doors.
There is usually electric wiring that will have to be re-routed around the opening but that is not too big of a project. Plumbing does not generally run through exterior walls like wiring but it is important to try to analyze these things before you commit to the project.
